Balanced Air, Inc. was founded in 1988 by Gary Shari and continues to remain a family-owned and operated business. Since our inception, our philosophy has been rooted in both honesty and integrity. This is reflected in our company principles and motto found in the scripture verse Deuteronomy 25:15:
“You must have accurate and honest weights and measures, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is given you”
Our focus is to glorify God while providing the highest quality HVAC services to homeowners and businesses around the Tampa Bay area. We are small enough to know your name, but large enough to respond quickly and professionally to any HVAC need you may have. Ben Shari
Vice President & General Manager
Ben is a Florida native and graduated with a degree in Finance and Accounting from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. Ben’s introduction to Balanced Air started at the age of 10 when he began answering phones at home for his dad and riding shotgun to service calls. I guess you could say he was destined for the family business.
After managing the finances for several local businesses, Ben officially joined Balanced Air in 2006 and partnered with Gary to take the company to the next level and grow it to what it is today. As Vice President, Ben oversees the day-to-day operations and continues to pave the way and prepare for the next generation of family leadership.
Ben has been married for 15 years and has 6 children. When Ben isn’t pouring himself into Balanced Air, you can find him advocating for foster and adoptive children, developing his love for aviation and spending time with his family.
Gary Shari
President & Founder
Gary is a Michigan native that moved to Hollywood, Florida at the age of 10 years old. Gary was a member of the United States Army and faithfully served our country during the Vietnam War. It was in the Army that Gary began to develop his knowledge in HVAC. Upon his discharge, Gary spent 15 years committed to learning the trade and gaining the skills necessary to one day start his own company.
In 1987, Gary moved his family to New Port Richey, Florida and began working as a service technician and Mechanical Inspector for Pasco County, while getting his business off the ground. Balanced Air, Inc. was created out of dedication and a desire to develop long-standing customer relationships. Gary turned over day-to-day operations to his son, Ben but remains an active participant in the company.
Gary has been married for 39 years, has 3 children and 12 grandchildren. When Gary isn’t working you can find him serving at his church, traveling, shooting photography and spending time with his family.

Our History
Gary Shari founded Balanced Air in 1988. His vision was to create and maintain a safe, healthy, and comfortable indoor environment for folks in Clearwater, FL, and the surrounding communities. Through the years, he worked hard to develop long-standing customer relationships.
Gary turned over day-to-day operations to his son, Ben, but remains active as president of Balanced Air. In his role as vice president, Ben continues to follow Deut. 21:15 and the company's core values. As we prepare to move into our third generation of family leadership, the principles that have driven us since 1988 will remain the heart and soul of our company: glorifying God as we deliver outstanding heating and air conditioning services to our family and neighbors.
